Skoda Citigo


ABOUT:

Skoda Citigo is a car town category A, produced by Czech automaker Skoda Auto , as of October 2011 . The first model was launched in the Czech Republic and in the summer of 2012 was released in other countries in Europe , in Russia and in the markets of Asia .
This is the first representative of the company in the increasingly popular category A, the Skoda Fabia is somewhat greater in Group B. In the first month, the Citigo manufactured only in 3-door hatchback version of the body, while at the International Motor Show in Geneva , in March 2012 , was presented the 5-door hatchback. These three models have evolved together as the project "New Small Family» (New Small Family / NSF) and is essentially the same technology, except for some differences in appearance and in ancillary equipment items. Manufactured on shared facilities in Bratislava of Slovakia .
And these 3 models are the first to offer a class D Auto Brake System, which is specifically the Skoda called City Safe Drive . Automatically activated at speeds below 30 km / h, when a sensor laser recognizes risk of collision, so the system itself activates the brakes.

AWARDS:

In crash tests by the independent body Euro NCAP, in November 2011 , the relative Volkswagen up! awarded the maximum 5-star distinction in an offset test and side-impact and side impact in Cologne, with percentages: 
89% in adult protection,
80% to protect minors
86% for systems security features and standard
46% in pedestrian protection, simulating impacts with pedestrians.
Simultaneously, the Skoda Citigo, like the SEAT Mii , thoroughly studied by Euro NCAP and officially considered as structurally identical to the Volkswagen up! and with the same structure in the dashboard .
